Palettes are four tabs at the bottom of the Color picker popover. Here you can choose predefined colors to use as a solid color or as a part of a gradient.
Colors Palette
Here are 24 default predefined colors. They are the basic hues you can start from.
The first row is a simple grayscale palette (from black to white with 10 shades of grey).
The second row contains both RGB and CMY colors plus other popular hues.
Swatches Palette
The Swatches Palette allows you to create, import and export your own color palette.
You can save the most intricate patterns and complex gradients inside a single swatch.
Create and Delete Swatches
Click Plus icon to create a new swatch.
Drag a thumbnail out of the palette to delete the swatch.
If you want to use your palette across all documents create global swatches .
Create document swatches to build up a document-specific palette. These palettes are stored within this file.
It's quite handy, you don't need to store a separate file with your swatches. Your palette and artwork are all inside a single document!
Note: the swatches can be rearranged by dragging over another swatch

You can share your palette with other users. Click Export to save your swatches inside a proprietary .gvswatch format
Use the I mport icon to load swatches of your fellow designers.
Note: all swatches are supposed to be in the .gvswatch format. Some tools help you to convert palettes created in other editors to .gvswatch:

- Adobe, Paint.net, Corel Draw, GIMP to Gravit: Cyotek Color Palette Editor
Tip: to remove all swatches at once open the console (CTRL + SHIFT + I in the browser or / CTRL + / SHIFT + F12 in the Desktop version), type "gContainer.setProperty('swatches', null);", hit Enter, then restart the app (or Refresh the TAB in the browser if you are using a web version).
In Use Pallete
This palette is super handy because it shows colors you of all vector objects inside the document. Best pallet to learn somebody's work.
Some colors might be adjusted by the effects or blending modes. The in-use color palette helps to find out true colors of the artworks, thus allows you to learn how the things were created.
The in-use color palette helps to build intricate gradients, that require repetition of the same colors. Just create the base colors of the gradient and replicate them on its slider by picking up the colors from the in-use palette.
Mixer Palette
The Mixer palette gives you some ideas about the tints, shades, tones, and mixes of the current color. It is extremely good for the development of the reach gradients, shadows, and highlights.
Try it out if you are struggling with the color for the shadow or just isn't confident in your choice. It is a real time saver and a good learning tool.
There four major elements of the palette:
The tints: a gradient between the current color and white. Can be regarded as increasing brightness in the HSB color model.
The shades: a gradient between the current color and black. Can be regarded as decreasing brightness in the HSB color model.
The tones: a gradient between the current color and grey. Can be regarded as decreasing saturation in the HSB color models.
The mixes: Set an object color, use the eyedropper to pick a color off the canvas. This row will give you a gradient between the two colors.
Tip: You can select all objects that have the same solid color fill on the current page and change that color at once. Go to used colors tab in color picker interface. Hold / ALT + click on a color swatch. All the object that this fill color and are placed in the current page will briefly flash on the canvas. Now you can change the color and it will be replaced on all objects that it is used.
